Working in partnership

Collaboration with Thermo Fisher Scientific customers, suppliers and other stakeholders is essential to our business and a cornerstone of our strategy to address environmental impacts. We also support industry-wide action to accelerate our sector’s collective progress in building a more sustainable future.

Together with our suppliers

We partner with suppliers to identify, develop and bring to market innovative technologies and materials that support our customers’ sustainability commitments and advance progress across the value chain.

In 2025, we launched a partnership with Green Project Technologies1 to expand supplier access to renewable electricity certificates, providing our supply chain partners with practical tools and resources to accelerate emissions reductions and advance their decarbonization capabilities.

Together with our scientists

We participate in My Green Lab’s® Converge initiative, an independent, nonprofit-led effort to reduce the environmental impact of labs across the pharmaceutical sector. In 2025, 10 Thermo Fisher labs achieved My Green Lab Certification, bringing our total to 59 since 2022. More than 1,000 Thermo Fisher scientists have contributed to our green lab program.

Together with our customers

We work closely with customers to support the achievement of their sustainability goals through tailored solutions, technical expertise and ongoing engagement. We partner with customers and industry leaders to identify emissions reduction opportunities, co-create sustainability roadmaps and implement practical strategies and innovative technologies across the value chain.

Through data-driven insights, transparent governance and scalable reporting tools, we support customers’ transition toward lower-carbon operations and measurable progress against their sustainability targets. Since 2023, we have provided hundreds of greenhouse gas (GHG) allocation and product carbon footprints (PCF) reports to customers and supported widely-used, third-party platforms to effectively facilitate scalable data sharing.

Together with our colleagues

Thermo Fisher’s 50+ Green Committees are local, colleague-led volunteer groups dedicated to advancing environmental sustainability at our sites and in the communities where we live and work. Bringing together team members from diverse functions, roles and backgrounds, these committees are united by a shared ambition to drive meaningful environmental action through collaboration, innovation and hands-on engagement. Their work spans a wide range of initiatives, including water and material use reduction, zero-waste efforts, electric mobility and energy conservation projects, as well as establishing on-site and community gardens.
